    No, Raxha is a downloadable app for your existing smartwatch (Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, Pixel Watch). You don't need to buy any new hardware.
    Raxha never records or stores your audio. By default, audio is analyzed in real time entirely on your watch and discarded immediately. You can optionally turn on Cloud Voice Detection (off by default) — when enabled, a few seconds of audio may be securely sent to our speech-processing providers during an emergency to better detect a spoken call for help. That audio is processed transiently and is not stored by us or those providers. You can turn it off anytime in Settings to keep all audio analysis on-device.
    Not yet. Raxha is currently for adults — you must be 18 or older to create or use an account. Parent-managed accounts for minors, with verifiable parental consent, are planned for a future release.
    In real emergencies, you may not be able to press a panic button (e.g., if incapacitated or restrained). Raxha acts for you by detecting threats and alerting your contacts autonomously.
    The system analyzes multiple signals simultaneously and learns your patterns over time to improve accuracy. You also have a cancellation window before any alert is sent.
    An Apple Watch (Series 4 or newer) paired with an iPhone. Support for Samsung Galaxy Watch and Google Pixel Watch is coming in Q4 2026.
    Raxha is optimized for rigorous battery efficiency. It uses low-power background monitoring and only ramps up processing when potential threats are detected.
